The Seniors
for Seniors Animal Club
The Seniors for Seniors Animal Club is
a group of young-at-heart animal lovers that get together monthly to
help the older homeless animals at the Humane Society of Broward County.
Members enjoy spending time with animals, doing crafts, playing games, socializing, and holding bake sales and craft fairs to raise money for the animals. It's a rewarding way for seniors to help animals without having to make a major time commitment! Also, it's a great way to make new friends! The Seniors Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month from 10am until 11am on the second floor of the Humane Society of Broward County. Membership is $25 per year, which includes a t-shirt. Donations needed! The Seniors Club is always in need of supplies! Items we don't have to purchase allows for more of the money we raise to go to help the animals! Gently-used items are welcome! Here are some of the items we need: Yarn and other knitting supplies, jewelry making supplies, crochet hooks, embroidery floss, fabric, ribbon, sewing supplies, and any crafting items. (It would be a dream-come-true if a serger machine or an embroidery machine were donated!)
