Over the summer the Humane Society of Broward County offered half price spays and neuters
for kittens and nearly 450 youngsters were sterilized.
Because of the overwhelming success of the program the shelter now
has another offer to encourage you to get your kitten scheduled
for this important surgery.Prices are normally $40.00 for females and $25.00 for males but if you schedule your kitten, that is between the ages of 8-12 weeks, the cost will be only $15.00. Vaccinations will also be available for an additional fee. "We hope to sterilize as many kittens as possible." said Cherie Wachter Directory of Marketing at the shelter. "Our veterinarians are very comfortable performing the early age sterilization and by doing the procedure at an early age, the kittens will certainly not contribute to the feline overpopulation problem in the future. We hope to continue to offer this sterilization speical as long as we can afford to."
