 Dear
Friends and Supporters of PAWS and the Humane Society of Broward County,I am pleased and honored to accept the presidency of PAWS for the 2011-2012 term. Throughout the history of PAWS, the organization has done a wonderful job of supporting the Humane Society, without a doubt, through the efforts of those that came before me. I am inspired by their tireless effort and hope to continue with the growth of PAWS with the vision as they have set forth. As we move into the 2011-2012 year, it is clear that fundraising has never been more important. In order to continue to provide shelter and adoptions for so many animals, we need the help from all of those friends, volunteers and staff who have given a helping hand with love and kindness over the past years. In addition, with new ideas and events, we hope to increase the number of members in order to raise more funds. It is my hope that PAWS becomes an organization that welcomes everyone who loves these animals as much as I do. To that extent, with the help of the talented board of PAWS, we hope to expand the fundraising events to have greater presence in the community, thus attracting more energy for the fundraising efforts. As PAWS moves to the next stage for growth, I want to thank all of those who have helped make PAWS the fantastic organization that it is. With the vision of those before me, as well as the efforts of those around me, we will take PAWS to a new level, helping the shelter help the animals that we love.  Christy Gumberg PAWS President |
