Dear Friends
I am honored to be appointed as the new president of PAWS. It is a
daunting task to replace my good friend, Christine Forman, whose term
has expired. During the last fiscal year, I have thoroughly enjoyed
working with Christine as her Vice President of Ways and Means. I
also want to extend my heartfelt thanks to the dedicated Board members,
generous volunteers, donors and staff who support PAWS and its many
programs.
As President, I will have to make many varied decisions, however they
will not be unilateral. They will be based upon conferring with the
committed team that will be joining me in this worthy cause. Having
been on the PAWS board for 10 years and one of the founding members
of MASH, the spay/neuter mobile clinic, I promise to utilize my experiences
to make our organization stronger and more productive.
My passion for placing homeless pets in happy families, eliminating
irresponsible pet reproduction, and inhumane treatment of animals
will be the driving forces behind our success this year.
I call upon all PAWS members to share in this commitment, offering
help in any way possible, whether it be financial, volunteering or
assisting in our shelter.
Remember, PAWS means PETS ARE WORTH SAVING!
Thank You for this privilege and great honor.
Sincerely,
Margaret Meldeau
